Crochet-Covered Stones

Honestly, I have never done this, but it looks so cool--yarn bombing river stones with pretty crochet. Check out these rocking specimens from Etsy!

Wouldn't this be fun?  What if all of us who crocheted made a few and left them lying around in the city or on the beach for people to discover. It would probably brighten their day!

And if you don't crochet, you might consider a purchase from one of these talented sellers on Etsy. Then keep the stone yourself, or leave it somewhere.

Thanks for visiting me at my blog! I absolutely LOVE these and have seen them on Etsy. I would love one and better yet, learn how to make them. I am a beginner crochet so still trying to perfect my single and double crochet!

Thanks for coming by, AnnMarie. Best wishes with your crochet learning. When you are ready to start crocheting with thread and some tiny hooks, this would be a good project idea!

Oooh, those would be cool paperweights! At the local arboretum, a group got to come in and do a yarn art installation on some of the trees. It was amazing. :-)

Wow! It is a honor to be among these Beauties. I really like the idea of leaving one for someone to find.
Thank You!!

I love these! I've done something similar, crocheting around little glass pebbles. I would love to make some of the stone ones, too.
